Hubby came home the other day with some new work lights. They are shockingly cool, and I think I will have to steal them for a photo shoot. They are more watts than my current strobes, and they have several settings. Of course, they stay on and get hot, but I'm thinking I can work around this small detail....
Next weekend, I will take some photos with my girls and see how it goes! Stay tuned to see the results of our crazy lighting test. If it works, then who needs $700 lights? These babies were a mere $65 at the Home Depot (or Lowe's, I'm not sure where he actually got them).

Santa, where is that new Canon 5D you promised me?
Okay, Santa didn't really promise me a new Canon 5D Mark II. I somewhat promised myself.....and a telephoto L lens, too.....you know, while I'm at it. Instead, I got a crazy big monitor (30"), so the camera and lens will just have to wait a little while longer.....

Merry Christmas!
The Gardner Photography & Design blog has now officially launched on Christmas Day 2008. We'll be posting more news, info, specials and shoots in the coming days!
